Who We Are
The Vape Waste Project is the only 501(c)(3) organization leading a movement to mitigate disposable e-cigarette waste and minimize the environmental impact of the long list of contaminants contained within disposable vapes.
Through intentional collection, outreach, and education programs VWP works to challenge the conventional approach to e-cigarette disposal and encourage a more sustainable alternative.
We are passionate and knowledgeable environmental conservation advocates focused on leading and supporting successful recycling and education campaigns:
We actively provide collection and recycling services throughout the New York State area and are prospecting expansion to other states around the country.
We have fostered relationships with partners overseas to initiate collection programs on a broader scale to maximize environmental conservation home and abroad.
In addition to our work collecting disposable vape waste to protect the environment, we apply our broad knowledge of this exigent issue to develop and distribute educational materials with a focus on low income demographics to address critical environmental challenges where they are most prevalent.
To be abundantly clear, The Vape Waste Project is not affiliated in any capacity with Big Tobacco, corporate interests, or any "pro-smoking" organizations. We intend to maintain our full autonomy, and we are confident in our ability to make change and protect the environment independently without the influence of others with ulterior motives. Furthermore, VWP is a pro-recycling organization and does not take a stance for or against smoking.

We extensively researched, built relationships with, and collaborate with high grade environmentally conscious recycling facilities to ensure that collected vape waste is processed responsibly and efficiently.
